Edgar Jayet

Edgar Jayet is a French interior architect and designer based in Paris and Venice.

Graduated from the École Camondo, he is passionate about philosophy, history and research, and his work is informed by a resolutely poetic and historical approach, influenced by his two home ports. His practice can be seen as both speculative and operative, born of thought before being embodied in matter. This approach is the common thread running through his projects - in a dialogue that is always cultivated and cross-disciplinary. Winner of the Van Cleef & Arpels Grand Prix at the Design Parade Toulon in 2021, he has built a reputation for being essentialist and historicist, with lines that systematically highlight exceptional techniques and craftsmenship. A vocabulary of forms that he applies to as many commissions and self-edited pieces worldwide.
